Investor quick-start
Goal: from zero to your first expert in under 10 minutes.
1. Sign in
Go to app.trybrainiac.com, click Continue with Google. On your first sign-in you'll be asked to pick your role — Private Markets, Public Markets, Search Fund, Consultant, or Expert.
2. Open a case
Everything in Brainiac hangs off a case — it's the container for your brief, your experts, your calls, and your research. So this comes first.
Go to Cases → New and describe what you're working on. The intake wizard asks follow-up questions and drafts a structured brief from your answers; you can also drop in files for it to read.
3. Find experts
Inside your case, open Research Hub → Expert Search Agent and describe who you're looking for in plain English. Good prompts sound like an ask you'd make to a junior analyst:
Find me three heads of revenue operations who scaled a vertical-SaaS company from $50M to $200M ARR in the last five years.
The agent searches the web and People Data Labs, then streams back candidates as it finds them. Each one carries tags showing why it matched — and every claim links back to the source it came from.
4. Shortlist
Select the candidates worth pursuing. They collect under Research Hub → Experts in your case, and stay there across sessions.
5. Reach out and book
From an expert in your shortlist, start outreach. Brainiac drafts the message; you review it before anything sends. Once they accept, you book a call against their real availability.
6. Collaborate
On the case, use the Members card to invite a teammate by email (they need an existing Brainiac account). Roles are Owner / Editor / Viewer.
